- Ulcers of the mouth happen due to eating hot and spicy food. Constipation, indigestion, constitution of the stomach and allergies cause ulcers in the mouth. Home remedies for Ulcers in the mouth: - Ulcers of the mouth due to constipation – have ‘Triphala’ powder with milk or lukewarm water in the night for 3-4 nights. - Gargle with Alum water. - Have 2-3 spoons of ‘Isabgul’ mixed in lukewarm water. - Have the ‘Kwath’ of Plum mixed with water. - Roast blue Vitriol (Thotha) on a pan and grind it into a powder. Put 2 rice grains worth amount in a betel leaf and chew this and spit it out. Don’t swallow it. - Mix roasted borax in honey and apply it on the ulcer with a piece of cotton. Spit out the saliva.
