Health is Wealth.
Prevention is better than cure, the phrase is quite appropriate even, today.
ICRIER has reported that theme of “Preventive Healthcare” has grown in India by 25% in the past five years. Though, majority of the younger generations, even today, talking more on the lines of “Wealth is Health”, the mantra of the day and prevention has no meaning for them.
Case Study; Mr. Harsh Swaroop, Executive Vice President of one of the MNC, a few months back, he turned to age of 38. A very hard worker-better to say –workaholic, 14-16 hours hectic work schedule, suddenly one day, it was discovered that he was suffering from acute problems of spondalities, Blood Pressure and Diabetes. Blood pressure has become very common in India now. Every 3rd person knowingly or unknowingly is suffering from high blood pressure.
What is Blood Pressure:
Every moment heart beats, without fail, 60-70 times a minute and pumps out the blood which is carried from the heart to all parts of the body through vessels called arteries. Every time heart beats and pushes the blood with force against the walls of the arteries is known as blood pressure. Blood pressure is always given as these two numbers, the systolic and diastolic pressures.
Usually blood pressure in normal human is being read, such as 120/80 mmHg. The top number is the systolic and the bottom the diastolic. Blood pressure changes during the day....... »

Tips for better health

- For good health, consume fibrous food, un-sieved flour, and wheat bread.
- Consuming vegetarian food helps maintain better health.
- Mix Barley flour in vegetable soup instead of regular fine wheat flour.
- Instead of drinking fruit juices, eat fruits. It provides for loads of fibre which is good for health.
- Use dry fruits in making food.
- Those fruits and vegetables that can be eaten with the rind should be eaten after being washed thoroughly.
- Avoid packaged food.
- Have honey with regular food once in a while.
- For breakfast have a meal make of parched grain (Dalia). It can be had sweet or salty. It is good for health.
- Do not treat the stomach like a trash can.
- Do not eat till you are full, instead eat one less roti.
